Our Processes

Below are some brief notes on our processes to help facilitate a smooth transaction and set expectations.

Additional details regarding procedures and process for exterior and interior services will be sent via email when we first start working with you!

No Dyed Mulch

When installing mulch beds, we will not use any dyed mulch. This mulch generally does not compost as well as others, and therefore, does not offer much needed nutrients or the beneficial breakdown and composting of material over time.

Dyed mulch also leach into the soil and plants do not do as well when this mulch is used. We do everything we can to promote immediate growth and ensure long term plant survival.

When possible, we prefer to use pine mulch. Most plants installed prefer acidic soil. As pine mulch decomposes, this provides a more acidic environment to the plants.

Time

More often than not, I am a one (wo)man crew. We offer detailed and meticulous services that you will not find with other landscape crews.

Please keep this in mind. I am not a whole landscaping crew that can do an installation in two hours. I will usually take one to two days depending on the size of the installation. Sometimes one to two weeks.

I take time and consideration in plant sourcing, plant placement, soil prep and amendments - this can include several hours of driving to different garden centers and nurseries throughout the week, or mixing in multiple different soil types and amendment materials when planting each plant shrub or tree. My goal is to make sure every flower or evergreen has the best chance at survival, and this takes effort and mindfulness.

If speed is what is needed, we can recommend landscaping crews in the area to help you with your particular project.
